The Big Debate: Disneyland vs. Disneyworld

The Disneyland vs. Disneyworld debate is right up there with the presidential debates…well maybe not that drastic, but it has been a source of discussion for many years.  Both of these lands are phenomenal in their own rights, but if you are looking for originality and pure, simple fun, Disneyland is where you should go.  Perhaps it is because it is the original dream of Walt Disney himself, or maybe it is because the weather is not as unreliable as the balmy weather of Florida with its flash floods and thundershowers.  Whatever the reason, Disneyland embodies the very heart and soul of dreams and fairytales.  Disneyland is perfect for those who are traveling with small children.  Disneyworld is an expansive destination chock full of different lands and attractions, all with separate entrances which are attached through a very high tech monorail system.  Disneyworld can be very overwhelming to first timers.  You should allow at least 2 weeks in order to spend ample time in every aspect of Disneyworld.  Disneyland however can be experienced and appreciated in a couple of days.  The price variance is much greater between the two as well (Disneyland being less expensive).  Each land hosts the same spectacular character greetings, good food, fabulous parades and terrific shows.  For your first time to one of these parks, Disneyland will help you get your feel wet without totally overwhelming you, turning you off to another Disney vacation for many years to come.
