Picking the Most Dollar Friendly Time of Year to go to Disneyland

The least expensive time to visit Disneyland is what they refer to as their “off season”, which is basically, whenever the kids are in school.  Their high seasons are the summer months (from Memorial Day to Labor Day), Thanksgiving, Christmas Break and Spring Break.  High season prices are drastically higher than low season prices as the company wants to bring in as many tourists during this time as they can.  Some travel companies will have special offers during the low-season to attract visitors.  Choosing to take your children out of school for a vacation is strictly on an individual basis.  If your child is a good enough student and his or her grades would not suffer by missing a weeks worth of school, then taking them out of school should be a reasonable idea and will save your pocket book a tremendous amount of money.  Ask your child’s teacher if he or she would mind putting together a homework packet to work on in the car or the plane so they can keep up with their studies while they’re having a great time on vacation.
