If you are vacationing in Disneyland and need a little break from all of the commotion, spend a little time in Downtown Disney. This area is located on the Disney grounds. It is the strip of land between Disneyland and California Adventure. Downtown Disney was formed with every age group in mind. Yes, there will be Disney character memorabilia galore (in The World of Disney shop) as well as a two story stuffed animal wonderland in the Anaheim Build-a-Bear Workshop. But, in the middle of these stores, you will find great clothing stores, geared for adults and teens, like Quicksilver, as well as make-up and fragrance stores like Sephora. You will also find several phenomenal restaurants serving more than just chicken fingers and fries. You can eat at Ralph Brennemens Jazz Kitchen for a feast of New Orleans fare, or delve into some serious Italian at Naples. For the sports junkies, you can get your sports fix at the ESPN zone featuring a restaurant, bar, TV sports and an arcade. Downtown Disney also has a large movie cinema always playing the current available movies. And, perhaps one of the best reasons to venture to Downtown Disney, there won’t be a Disney character (other than a stuffed one) in sight!
