If you are a “Disney Connoisseur” then you are sure to know that nothing in Disneyland comes cheap. Luckily, there are ways that you can make your impending Disney vacation as stress free financially as possible. Walt Disney Tickets into Disneyland are given in 1 to 8 day passes that must be used consecutively and are valid for two weeks after the date of original purchase. If you are planning on visiting Disneyland for more than one day, purchasing a multi-day pass is the best deal you can pay for. The more days that you buy in the park, the less you will be paying per day. With each extra day that you buy after the first day, you will be receiving an average of $10 more off. That can be a savings of over $80 if you are planning on purchasing an eight day pass. Admission tickets for both Disneyland and California Adventure can be purchased separately if you are planning on only visiting one of the parks; however, you will get a much better deal investing in a Park Hopper Pass which allows you access to both parks that can be used at any time of the day. Essentially, you are “hopping” from one park to the next, enjoying both parks and all that they have to offer.

Waxing Nostalgia on Mainstreet USA
March 13th, 2009 — Disneyland, Dollar Friendly Disneyland Time
When you enter through the wrought iron gates of Disneyland, you are welcomed by the inviting and pristine area of the park called “Mainstreet USA”. Unfortunately, most people rush through this part in order to get to the attractions and shows elsewhere in Disneyland. The truth is, if you ignore Mainstreet USA, you are missing out on something pretty great. Lining both sides of the street are a number of charming shops filled with Disneyland items from sweatshirts and stuffed animals to authentic original prints dating back to the opening of Disneyland over 50 years ago. Mainstreet USA also houses several restaurants that host delicious treats such as delectable chocolates and to-die-for ice cream cones dripping goodness. On Mainstreet USA you will find the Kodak shop that will sell you anything and everything related to camera equipment from batteries and flashes to disposable cameras in those “oops-I –forgot-my-camera” moments. This is also where you can order all of your prints that cast members have taken of you all around the park with various Disney characters. Nestled next to the Kodak shop is a shop full of high-priced but exquisite Disney glassware. You can find a miniature Tinkerbell made of Swarovski crystals or a ceramic Mickey Mouse snow globe. Do yourself a favor the next time you visit Disneyland and spend a little time on the attention-neglected Mainstreet USA…you’ll be happy you did!
Picking the Most Dollar Friendly Time of Year to go to Disneyland
March 4th, 2009 — Disneyland, Dollar Friendly Disneyland Time
The least expensive time to visit Disneyland is what they refer to as their “off season”, which is basically, whenever the kids are in school. Their high seasons are the summer months (from Memorial Day to Labor Day), Thanksgiving, Christmas Break and Spring Break. High season prices are drastically higher than low season prices as the company wants to bring in as many tourists during this time as they can. Some travel companies will have special offers during the low-season to attract visitors. Choosing to take your children out of school for a vacation is strictly on an individual basis. If your child is a good enough student and his or her grades would not suffer by missing a weeks worth of school, then taking them out of school should be a reasonable idea and will save your pocket book a tremendous amount of money. Ask your child’s teacher if he or she would mind putting together a homework packet to work on in the car or the plane so they can keep up with their studies while they’re having a great time on vacation.
