When You Can Get the Cheapest Walt Disney Tickets
March 28th, 2009 — California Adventure, Disney Park Hopper Ticket, Disneyland, Dollar Friendly Disneyland Time, Time and Money Savings
If you are a “Disney Connoisseur” then you are sure to know that nothing in Disneyland comes cheap. Luckily, there are ways that you can make your impending Disney vacation as stress free financially as possible. Walt Disney Tickets into Disneyland are given in 1 to 8 day passes that must be used consecutively and are valid for two weeks after the date of original purchase. If you are planning on visiting Disneyland for more than one day, purchasing a multi-day pass is the best deal you can pay for. The more days that you buy in the park, the less you will be paying per day. With each extra day that you buy after the first day, you will be receiving an average of $10 more off. That can be a savings of over $80 if you are planning on purchasing an eight day pass. Admission tickets for both Disneyland and California Adventure can be purchased separately if you are planning on only visiting one of the parks; however, you will get a much better deal investing in a Park Hopper Pass which allows you access to both parks that can be used at any time of the day. Essentially, you are “hopping” from one park to the next, enjoying both parks and all that they have to offer.
Fast Pass Hints for Disneyland Attractions
March 27th, 2009 — California Adventure, Disney Park Hopper Ticket, Disneyland, Lands in Disneyland, Parades and Live Shows at Disneyland
If you are traveling to Disneyland during the busy summer months or on a typical vacation time from school like the Christmas holiday or spring break, be prepared for lines. A lot of them. Waiting in these long lines is especially hard if you are traveling with very young children can be excruciating and exhausting and leave you wondering why you decided to vacation to the UN-happiest place on Earth in the first place! Well, let me let you in on a little secret…Fast Passes. That’s right, folks. Fast passes are the new wave of the future at Disneyland. These precious little passes let you jump your pretty little selves to the front of the line in front of all of those people who didn’t know the Fast Pass secret and you can ride on your chose attraction and go on your merry way to your next ride adventure. In order to ease the strain and stress of lines at the park, the brains of Disneyland got together and created Fast Passes. These kiosks that are placed beside all of the major attraction rides at Disneyland (a.k.a. the most popular) allow you to insert your admission ticket and it will print out a voucher, or Fast Pass, telling you what time you should come back to the ride and you will get first dibs on the attraction. While you wait for your designated time, go grab a bite to eat or catch a live show or parade. Be careful, however. You are only allowed to use a Fast Pass up to 3 times a day, so if the line doesn’t appear to long, wait it out and use the Fast Pass when the lines get a little longer during the busiest parts of the day. And that, my friends, is the secret of the infamous Fast Pass.

March 23rd, 2009 — Adventureland, California Adventure, Disney Park Hopper Ticket, Disneyland, Disneyland Character Breakfasts, Eating at Disneyland, Fantasyland, Lands in Disneyland, Mainstreet USA, Tomorrowland
When you think of a vacation, do you think of blissful relaxation on a warm, sandy beach with a cabana boy bringing you an endless supply of margaritas? Well, that may be your idea of a vacation, but your kids have other ideas! No vacation suits a child more than an exciting stay in the most magical place on Earth…Disneyland! From toddler-hood to teenager, every “kid” gets a kick out of this park and its neighboring park, California Adventure. From the moment you pass through the gates, you are magically transported into a different land. Inside the park you will find an immaculately kept park full of character and wonderment with rides, shows and shops that could make even the grumpiest of dwarves smile a little. There is something for everyone here at Disneyland. Little ones will get carried away in Fantasyland where elephants fly and pirate ships sail over Neverland. Adventureland takes you on a safari through a cruise filled with elephants, tigers and head hunters, where you can swing from vines like Tarzan of the Apes. Frontierland takes you to the Wild West where you ride on a runaway train on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and take part in a saloon shoot. If you’re not into rides, it is sometimes just as enjoyable to grab an ice cream cone, sit under a cool shade tree and people watch. A trip to Disneyland is just something that you have to do at least once in your lifetime. Relaxing it is not, but it will definitely be memorable!

Disneyland for Teens and Tweens
March 15th, 2009 — California Adventure, Disneyland, Frontierland, Lands in Disneyland, Tomorrowland
Disneyland is not just reserved for the young or young at heart. Both Disneyland and California Adventure cater to everyone in between too. Yes, the goal of Disneyland is to bring out your inner child where “everyone can be a kid” is the motto that is heard all over the parks. Traveling with teenagers and pre-teens can be disastrous with mood swings, bad tempers and sheer embarrassment over traveling with “nerdy” parents. Luckily, Disneyland has so many attractions and rides geared towards pleasing those in their tween years that a trip to Disneyland can be enjoyable for all. Some of the favorite rides in the parks are Splash Mountain, Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and the newly remodeled and “ultra-cool” Space Mountain roller coaster. If you make your way over to California Adventure you will find a ton of rides where you won’t see a kid under the age of 8 years old in sight! Have a splashin’ good time on the Grizzly River Run, shriek in all your glory on The Tower of Terror and get a jolt of fear, shock and adrenaline all at once of the loop-da-loop California Screamin’ ride. So, teenagers, put that grouchy face into a smile and enjoy yourself…you’re only young once and with the help of Disney magic, you don’t ever have to grow up if you don’t want to!
Meal Vouchers at Disneyland…That’s the Ticket!
March 12th, 2009 — California Adventure, Disneyland, Disneyland Food Savings, Eating at Disneyland
Many people traveling to Disneyland opt to purchase meal vouchers that are valid at any restaurant in both Disneyland and California Adventure and are available in increments of $10, $15 or $20. Meal vouchers are all about convenience to the visitors of Disneyland. They are extremely helpful if you have older children who want to go off in the park by themselves. You can hand over a meal voucher instead of cash so you can be sure that they are eating a meal even if you are not with them. The meal vouchers are in the shape of a credit card. When you reach the cash register, the attendant simply swipes your card, deducts the amount and you are on your merry way. No more hassle of pulling out your wallet and carrying around loose change. With a meal voucher, the convenience of a tasty, hearty meal is right in the palm of your hand! You can order your meal vouchers when you reserve your Disney vacation if you do so online. They will ask you if you wish for this feature and how many days worth of vouchers you would like. The cost is added to the total of your bill and you can finish paying the remainder 30 days before you are scheduled to leave on your vacation.
Money Saving Tips on Food Purchases in Disneyland
March 9th, 2009 — Adventureland, California Adventure, Disneyland, Disneyland Food Savings
Part of the allure of Disneyland is the fun food that accompanies it. Every land in Disneyland and California Adventure serves tasty meals that appease even the pickiest of eaters. As with everything else in Disneyland, food prices do not come cheap. If your hotel offers a free continental breakfast, it is a good idea to fill up your stomachs there, leaving you less likely to be hungry until later on in the day. For lunch, try eating something small such as a tasty hand-dipped corndog in California Adventure or a delicious pineapple spear by the Enchanted Tiki Room in Adventureland. Save your big meal purchase for dinnertime in the park, but limit the days you eat there. Choose one or two nights to eat in the park and dine at other restaurants outside of Disneyland the rest of your trip to save money.
Saving Money with a Shuttle Service to Disneyland
March 8th, 2009 — California Adventure, Disneyland, Shuttle Service to Disneyland
A car rental will not be needed if you are only planning on attending Disneyland or its sister park, California Adventure. Arranging a ride from Super Shuttle is an inexpensive way to get from the airport to the hotel in a fairly quick manor. If you are traveling with young children, try and reserve the “Disneyland Express” which is a large tour bus that continuously shuttles from LAX and Orange County Airport to your hotel and the entire exterior of the hotel is decorated with every Disney character imaginable. It will be a great way to kick off your vacation. The cost for the shuttle service is approximately $25/adult each way and usually $10/child each way for children under the age of 10. Make sure to arrange these services before hand and make sure to include it as a round trip reservation.
