Where Disneyland is concerned, you will always find great deals.  Now, more than ever when the economy is struggling as badly as it is, the folks at Disney are doing everything they can and pulling out all of the stops to offer unbelievable Disney deals that you just can’t think about passing up.  All throughout the year are special offers from 2 nights free with a 3 night purchase to kids fly free with every paying adult to Disneyland, specials, discounts and deals are running rampant.  Disneyland is all about celebrations.  Here’s a great deal tip for you; if you are planning on visiting Disneyland over your birthday, guess what?  You get into the park for free that day!  If you show valid identification or a copy of your child’s birth certificate confirming that this is in fact your birthday, you get free admission, saving you approximately $100!  That’s quite a deal!  During tough financial times, Disney is offering several discounts at their stores and restaurants both at Disneyland and California Adventure as well as in Downtown Disney to inherit more business.  You will receive special discounted prices or a certain percentage off at any or all of the shops in both parks and downtown Disney.  If you want a great deal to Disneyland that you just can’t turn own, now is the time to go!

If you are a “Disney Connoisseur” then you are sure to know that nothing in Disneyland comes cheap.  Luckily, there are ways that you can make your impending Disney vacation as stress free financially as possible.  Walt Disney Tickets into Disneyland are given in 1 to 8 day passes that must be used consecutively and are valid for two weeks after the date of original purchase.  If you are planning on visiting Disneyland for more than one day, purchasing a multi-day pass is the best deal you can pay for.  The more days that you buy in the park, the less you will be paying per day.  With each extra day that you buy after the first day, you will be receiving an average of $10 more off.  That can be a savings of over $80 if you are planning on purchasing an eight day pass.  Admission tickets for both Disneyland and California Adventure can be purchased separately if you are planning on only visiting one of the parks; however, you will get a much better deal investing in a Park Hopper Pass which allows you access to both parks that can be used at any time of the day.  Essentially, you are “hopping” from one park to the next, enjoying both parks and all that they have to offer.

While you wait for your designated time, go grab a bite to eat or catch a live show or parade.   Be careful, however.  You are only allowed to use a Fast Pass up to 3 times a day, so if the line doesn’t appear to long, wait it out and use the Fast Pass when the lines get a little longer during the busiest parts of the day.  And that, my friends, is the secret of the infamous Fast Pass.

Disneyland is not just reserved for the young or young at heart.  Both Disneyland and California Adventure cater to everyone in between too.  Yes, the goal of Disneyland is to bring out your inner child where “everyone can be a kid” is the motto that is heard all over the parks.  Traveling with teenagers and pre-teens can be disastrous with mood swings, bad tempers and sheer embarrassment over traveling with “nerdy” parents.  Luckily, Disneyland has so many attractions and rides geared towards pleasing those in their tween years that a trip to Disneyland can be enjoyable for all.  Some of the favorite rides in the parks are Splash Mountain, Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and the newly remodeled and “ultra-cool” Space Mountain roller coaster.  If you make your way over to California Adventure you will find a ton of rides where you won’t see a kid under the age of 8 years old in sight!  Have a splashin’ good time on the Grizzly River Run, shriek in all your glory on The Tower of Terror and get a jolt of fear, shock and adrenaline all at once of the loop-da-loop California Screamin’ ride.  So, teenagers, put that grouchy face into a smile and enjoy yourself…you’re only young once and with the help of Disney magic, you don’t ever have to grow up if you don’t want to!

Many people traveling to Disneyland opt to purchase meal vouchers that are valid at any restaurant in both Disneyland and California Adventure and are available in increments of $10, $15 or $20.  Meal vouchers are all about convenience to the visitors of Disneyland.  They are extremely helpful if you have older children who want to go off in the park by themselves.  You can hand over a meal voucher instead of cash so you can be sure that they are eating a meal even if you are not with them.  The meal vouchers are in the shape of a credit card.  When you reach the cash register, the attendant simply swipes your card, deducts the amount and you are on your merry way.  No more hassle of pulling out your wallet and carrying around loose change.  With a meal voucher, the convenience of a tasty, hearty meal is right in the palm of your hand!  You can order your meal vouchers when you reserve your Disney vacation if you do so online.  They will ask you if you wish for this feature and how many days worth of vouchers you would like.  The cost is added to the total of your bill and you can finish paying the remainder 30 days before you are scheduled to leave on your vacation.

A car rental will not be needed if you are only planning on attending Disneyland or its sister park, California Adventure.  Arranging a ride from Super Shuttle is an inexpensive way to get from the airport to the hotel in a fairly quick manor.  If you are traveling with young children, try and reserve the “Disneyland Express” which is a large tour bus that continuously shuttles from LAX and Orange County Airport to your hotel and the entire exterior of the hotel is decorated with every Disney character imaginable.  It will be a great way to kick off your vacation.  The cost for the shuttle service is approximately $25/adult each way and usually $10/child each way for children under the age of 10.  Make sure to arrange these services before hand and make sure to include it as a round trip reservation.
